Arindam joined Citi in 2008; he is currently a Managing Director, as well as the Global Head of S&R and GIDA for Citi’s Shared Services (CSS) organization. Arindam is a member of both the CSS and CSC Senior Leadership Teams, as well a member of Citi’s Information Security Risk Operating Committee (ISROC). In this role, Arindam is responsible for several key strategic objectives across CSS and Information Security (IS). As the head of CSS Strategy & Re-engineering, Arindam designs and drives the strategic roadmap for CSS and delivers against its business process reengineering goals, including operating expense reduction and driving Citi Lean and robotics adoption across all of CSS. In 2015, Arindam assumed the responsibility of managing Citi’s Global ID Administration (GIDA) operations, an organization dispersed across EMEA, APAC and NAM. In this role and as a member of ISROC, he works directly with Citi’s Chief Information Security Officer and sector / regional IS Heads to design and execute processes to protect the firm from information security risks and insider threats. Prior to his current role, Arindam worked in CSS Finance & Risk Ops (FRO), leading Global Management Reporting for all Citi business and regions supported by Shared Services. He was also responsible to deliver management reports to Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) / Planning Heads and Business Managers across the globe. Before coming to Citi, Arindam worked at a strategy consulting firm in New York. As an associate partner and member of the firm’s Financial Services leadership, he advised one of the largest global banks on its online consumer banking strategy for the U.S. and Western Europe. Arindam started his career with American Express Company (Amex), where he worked for over 10 years. He started as a banker in the Corporate & Institutional Bank in Asia. Subsequently, he moved to Strategic Planning, reporting to the India Country Head and to Amex’s Regional CFO in Singapore. In 2002, he relocated to New York, working for Amex’s Global Controller. Arindam went on to lead the Marketing Analytics for the North America Merchant business, which directly collaborates with over 10,000 premium merchants to develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns. Arindam has an undergraduate degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST) and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Bangalore.
